Pasta Like a Pro To Go at Windmill Creek Vineyard and Winery!

Hands on PASTA workshop, no prior pasta making experience required!
You can make pasta anywhere as long as you have flour and water. These workshops are all about using your hands and some basic tools: no eggs, no machines, or fancy equipment required! You will learn how to make a classic Southern Italian pasta dough by hand, which will then be hand-formed into some traditional Southern Italian shapes. The pasta you make will serve two adults. Your pasta will be packaged and ready to bring home at the end of class. Each participant will also receive a pint of a delicious sauce prepared by Chef Frank that will pair perfectly with your pasta. Cooking and storing instructions are included.
This is a hands-on pasta workshop, led by Chef Laurie Boucher (@baltimorehomecook) and Chef Frank Granito (@pasticciogranito).
No prior pasta-making experience is necessary.
This class will include a dough-making demonstration by Chef Laurie.
With pre-prepared pasta dough, you will learn how to create a number of interesting and unique regional pasta shapes by hand using common household tools as well as being introduced to more specialized pasta tools.
Chef Laurie will demonstrate how to form a variety of Southern hand-formed shapes, and you will then transform your own dough into those beautiful pasta shapes.
The pasta you make will create two adult portions of pasta which will be packaged to go at the end of class.
Each participant will also receive a pint of sauce prepared by Chef Frank that will pair beautifully with the pasta you make. The sauce will be frozen so if you are traveling far, please plan accordingly.
This class is not gluten-free.
Windmill Creek Vineyard and Winery beverages will be available for purchase during the event. Please drink responsibly.
The Garden Grill will be open if you would like to come early and grab a snack or dinner prior to or following the workshop. Because this is a hands-on workshop and our workspace will be used for forming beautiful pasta, please plan on enjoying your food prior to/after the workshop which will start promptly at 5:30 and end at 7:00 p.m.
We reserve the right to alter or cancel a cooking class due to unforeseen circumstances. If any alterations or cancellations occur, every effort will be made to contact and accommodate participants. In the event of a class cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, we are happy to refund the full cost of the class to you.
